1. The base resin of the resorcinol coating is neopentyl glycol/m-benzoic acid unsaturated polyester. The structure of the resin gives it good mechanical properties and weather resistance, and is especially suitable for places with high weather resistance and water resistance requirements.

2. Isophthalic: The matrix resin of the isophthalic gel coating is isophthalic unsaturated polyester resin, which has high mechanical strength, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, and is suitable for manufacturing glass fiber reinforced plastic products.

3. Type O: The base resin of the O-type gel coat is O-type unsaturated polyester resin, which has good weather resistance, water resistance and impact resistance, and is suitable for high-demand FRP products.

1. Choose the appropriate gel coat model before use.

2. Prepare the mold fully and thoroughly. The surface of the mold determines the surface of the FRP product.

3. Before use, fully stir each barrel of gel coating, but slowly to avoid mixing with bubbles.

4. Before starting the operation, the temperature of the gel coat and mold should be kept at 16 -30. The ideal mold temperature should be 2-3 higher than the gel coat temperature. In this way, a more glossy gel coat surface can be obtained after curing.

5. The relative humidity of the workshop should be lower than 80%, which will cause the required curing temperature to rise. In addition, water should be prevented from accumulating on the surface of the mold.

6. The surface of the mold should be completely waxed, and no release wax containing silicone should be used. When using water-soluble mold release wax, you must wait for the water to evaporate before applying the gel coat.

7. Do not dilute with solvents. If the viscosity is low when used, a small amount of styrene (8) can be added, and the amount of curing agent (MEKP) is generally 1-2%. If the amount of curing agent is too high or too low, the water resistance and weather resistance of the product will be reduced.

9. If adding color paste, ensure the uniformity and stability of the color. Accurately weigh according to the recommended amount and stir with low shear equipment. Color gel coats can also be used.
